Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has sent a message to Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa after the striker was unveiled as the latest signing at the Wanda metropolitano
on Sunday.
Costa was instrumental in Conte’s first season as Chelsea coach, firing the Blues to the Premier trophy and guiding the Blues to the FA Cup finals during his final days at the Stamford Bridge.
But a misunderstanding between Costa and Conte led to his exit from the club he has given so much during his four years spell in England.
Costa was presented to Atletico Madrid fans on Sunday at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Conte was asked for a reaction and stated: "It's not right to talk about players who are not in my team and squad.
"We won together, so I will always remember him in a positive way. We fought together and won together."
Conte wished the striker the best in his new club.
