West Brom striker Salomon Rondon broke down in tears as he breaks Everton midfielder James McCarthy during Baggies’s 1-1 draw with Toffees.
Jay Rodriguez put the visitor 1-0 in front in the 7th minute of the encounter at Goodison Park but the major talking point came in the second half as the Venezuela international was put through on goal to extend the lead for Alan Pardew side.
McCarthy came from behind Rondon and attempted to poke the ball away but the big West Brom forward accidentally kicked his opponent’s calf with force.
The early signs were not good as TV channels refused to show the full replays of the incident and Rondon was seen in tears and several players tried to comfort the Venezuelan before play got back underway.
