Premier League giants meet REAL giants at London’s NBA match

Some of the Premier League’s biggest stars rocked up at The O2 Arena on Thursday evening as the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers came to town for London’s latest NBA instalment.
Players from various clubs put aside their football allegiances for one night as the Celtics ran out 114-103 winners.
The win saw the Celtics extend their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference – something runaway Premier League leaders, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan can appreciate. The pair, who have helped City open up a 15-point gap on rivals Manchester United, were in attendance at The O2.

Hector Bellerin, Sead Kolasinac, Shkodran Mustafi and Olivier Giroud were joined by PSG’s Julian Draxler, which would have almost certainly sent Arsenal’s fans into meltdown.

And as the game got under way, Nacho Monreal took his seat next to Antoine Griezmann. Cue more hysteria.

Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea were also represented. Thibaut Courtois, Andreas Christensen and Marcus Alonso took in the game, while pint-sized Eden Hazard opted to have a photo with 7’2” NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo.

And while most Premier League players turned up with their team-mates, Wilfried Zaha was sat next to Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish. Perhaps he was under strict instructions not to mingle with other footballers, just in case they tried to lure him away from Selhurst Park.
