Following their viral reconciliation at their respective concerts, Davido and Wizkid have been hailed by fans for putting their differences aside and allowing love win.
The music stars have been in a superiority beef with each other for a while, but they decided to end on a happy note.
Reacting to their reconciliation, Dele Momodu shared a photo of the singers together on stage with the caption; ‘BIGGER THAN OIL AND GAS’
Momodu’s statement has been met with mixed reactions online.
Davido also declared Wizkid his new bestfriend.
Speaking at his ’30 Billion Concert’. he said to thousands of fans in attendance ‘would you like to meet my new best friend?” to which everyone heartily yelled “yes”.
Wizkid soon emerged from backstage and the two embraced. Wizkid and Davido Wizkid went on to perform one of his recent street jams ‘Manya’ alongside Davido raising the ecstasy in the atmosphere several notches higher.
WizKid soon gave Davido a hearty shout out before exiting the stage. It is clear that this occasion would mark the beginning of a long-lasting bromance between both stars.

Reports: Real Madrid close to Alexis Sanchez's deal

Reports in Spanish papers are suggesting that Real Madrid is close on securing a deal for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez this January.
Sanchez’s contract is set to expire at the Emirate Stadium and he has no intention of renewing his stay with Arsenal and on the other hand, the Gunners would not like him to walk away on a free transfer next summer, so they are set to sell him and recoup some proceed they can in this January.
Manchester City is one of his suitors but Pep Guardiola does not want to alter a winning team with the addition of an extra player to the forward line, which makes Real Madrid his most likely destination if he would leave Arsenal this January.

Mother-of-two, Carolina Andrea Aguirre Castano die after having buttock implant surgery | Photos

A woman has tragically died after having buttock implant surgery at a hair salon. Carolina Andrea Aguirre Castano, 38, passed away after agreeing to have the invasive cosmetic surgery at a hair and beauty spa in Medellin, Colombia.

She had silicone implants fitted into her bum cheeks to ‘enhance the shape’, and was injected with an unidentified substance. But when Castano began to feel unwell, the salon’s staff called an ambulance and she was rushed to hospital. However, the mother-of-two died on the way.

The city’s Metropolitan Police operational commander Colonel Juan Carlos Restrepo confirmed her death, adding that Castano was the sixth fatality from cosmetic procedures in Medellin within the last year.

An investigation into Castano’s death is now under way. The unnamed owner of the hair salon has reportedly been arrested and remains in police custody. The spa has also been closed down.

The popularity of plastic surgery in the country has led to the growth of an unsafe industry, rife with unqualified practitioners carrying out cut-price procedures in underground establishments.

In 2016, 30 people died from complications during cosmetic procedures in Colombia. Last year, Colombian journalist Lorena Beltran publicly spoke out about the huge scarring she suffered after botched breast reduction surgery.

She launched the campaign #CirugiaSeguraYa – ‘Safe surgery now’ – calling for stricter regulation.

Reports from Spain have it that Enzo Zidane has been dismissed by La Liga outfit Alaves after failing to hold down a regular first-team place at the club.

‘Why we appointed dead people into agencies’- Presidency

The presidency says it doesn't deserve all the criticism it is getting for appointing dead people into federal agencies.

The Nigerian presidency says there’s nothing “scandalous or extraordinary” about the inclusion of the names of dead persons in a list of board and parastatal appointments.
On Friday, December 29, 2017 the Muhammadu Buhari presidency announced the appointment of 209 board chairmen and 1,258 board members into a slew of agencies.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF),
Boss Mustapha, made the list public.
The names of persons who have since passed on, popped up on the list, to the dismay and outrage
 » of millions of Nigerians.
However, the presidency says Nigerians should cut it some slack because the list was compiled in 2015 and revised in 2016.
'Historical list'
According to presidency spokesperson Garba Shehu;
“This list is a historical list. It dates back to 2015. The President asked all state chapters of the APC to forward 50 names for appointments to the SGF through the national headquarters of the party.
“The then SGF, Babachir Lawal, presented the report in October 2016, one year after he was commissioned”.
Shehu added that State governors kicked against the initial list submitted by Lawal, forcing a review.
“The report was disputed by state governors who said they were not carried along or the list was not representative enough.
“So, the President constituted a new panel chaired by the Vice President. The panel has some governors and some leaders of the party as members. They were asked to go and review the list.
“The president’s trips for medical attention slowed down completion of the process,” Shehu said, adding that Buhari decided to revisit the matter recently.
“The current SGF was only directed to complete that process by releasing the list which he apparently did without altering it,” Shehu said.
Shehu added that "there is no scandal" with respect to the list. He said 'dead persons' in the list would be replaced.
“No human undertaking can be free of mistakes", said the president's spokesperson.

Nigerians have counted as many as four dead persons in Buhari’s board appointment list.
There have also been cases of duplications of names, appointment of questionable characters and members of the opposition who swear by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

He was shaking his head almost in tears while looking at his only son, and thereafter angrily reprimanded his security officials for allowing Yusuf to leave home at that time of the day for power-bike racing..
“From the way the President spoke, it appears the security Aides are in trouble. He spoke angrily. The Minister of Interior, Lt-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd); his FCT Ministry counterpart, Alhaji Mohammed Bello ; and the Senate President’s wife, Mrs. Toyin Saraki; stayed throughout the night of Tuesday till Wednesday, at the Hospital with Hajia Aisha Buhari.
“While the Doctors were working to stabilise him, Dambazau kept appealing to the Doctors to do everything possible to stabilise Yusuf, saying the President would find it very difficult to bear the pain, if anything happens to his son.”

Jose Mourinho Reminds Everyone That Jurgen Klopp Blasted Paul Pogba Transfer Fee

Jose Mourinho provided a timely reminder of Jurgen Klopp's criticism of the Paul Pogba transfer this afternoon, with Liverpool set to make Virgil van Dijk the most expensive defender in history.

Arsenal players confront Alexis Sanchez in dressing room bust-u

Arsenal players were involved in an angry confrontation with team-mate Alexis Sanchez after last month’s win at Burnley, according to The Guardian .
The tensions became apparent during last night’s win over Crystal Palace when many of Sanchez’s team-mates refused to celebrate with him after he found the net.

Never feel pressured to say yes to a public marriage proposal

It does not matter that's in church, at your family get-together, in class, or at a concert; you're never bound to say yes.

One can’t be sure with any accuracy when it became the cool thing to do, but public proposals have been in our faces for so long now that one might be forced into thinking that’s the only known way to propose.
From Cinemas halls to NYSC passing out parades, to church services, concerts, events, in the middle of traffic, malls and just pretty much everywhere you can get the most attention.

Public, attention-grabbing proposals are not criminal and there’s absolutely nothing wrong in going down that route if that’s the way you choose to roll.

What’s only worrying is the seeming pressure that gets mounted on to say yes in these instances. Pressure which, in my most sincere opinion, is undue and totally unnecessary.

At the time of writing this piece, there’s a clip causing some debate on social media. In the clip, a certain guy gets on a bent knee at the mall to propose to his babe in the presence of her friends and the girl just walks away from him and the extended ring without saying a word.

It turns out, according to a post later put on Instagram by the lady, that the guy is allegedly a serial cheat who has slept with her friend and her friend’s younger sister.

While there’s the question of why she’s still with him despite being unhappy and disturbed by his actions, it’s commendable, admirable, and something that every woman needs to aspire to.

What she did -  choosing to walk away from that guy due to doubts created by his character flaws  -  is the best thing to do.

When a guy chooses to propose when you are yet unready for that level of commitment or you’re yet not comfortable enough to take that leap with him, more women need to learn to say an emphatic no!

It does not matter where he did it – in church, at your family get-together, in class, at the airport, anywhere – you need to walk away

Obviously, it is easier to say no when it’s just the two of you at his apartment when he proposes. When it is in public places, it appears that it is slightly more difficult to say no.

Most women think of all the people present, all the flashing cameras and the huge embarrassment it’d cause to to say no in such instance.

But the fear of embarrassing him in the presence of people should not deter you from saying no. Those flashing cameras should not hold you force you to say yes.

See, any guy who feels comfortable enough to propose to you in public should be presumed ready for the worst.

If a marriage that lasts a lifetime and brings you happiness and peace of mind is what you crave, you cannot allow something as superficial as a public proposal lead you away from it.

Even if you choose to say no because you’ve expressly said it in the past that you hate public proposals, please go ahead and do it.

If it’ll rob you of your joy and peace of mind, then don’t do it. It does not matter who’s there or not, just shake your head and walk away.

That lady at the mall appears to have done the smart and wise thing for herself by walking away from that proposal and more women need to be like her.

I remember receiving a call from the groom about a simple 1hr courthouse wedding coming up in a few days. My initial thought was wow.. this wedding is a few days away! However, I later found out it was just going to be the couple and a minister. They had it all planned out.

Musician Arrested For Robbery On Christmas Day

Mr Peter Chinedu, a self-professed musician was on Thursday arraigned in an Ojo Magistrates’ Court for allegedly attacking a pedestrian and dispossessing him of his Samsung phone and money with a total value of N86, 000.
30-year-old Chinedu is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and theft. He pleaded not guilty.
Prosecuting Inspector Uche Simeon told the court that the accused committed the offence on December 25 at about 3:30 a.m. at First Gate, Festac Town, Lagos.
He said the accused and two others presently at large attacked the complainant, Mr Chikezie Nwakwo, who was returning home from a party, and dispossessed him of his phone and money.
He said the accused and his accomplices waylaid Nwakwo and collected his Samsung phone and money.
“While Nwakwo was struggling with the accused, his other two accomplices fled with the phone and money.
“But the complainant held on to one of his attackers and raised the alarm, while people around came to his rescue, which led to the arrest of the accused,” he said.
Magistrate A. A. Adesanya granted the accused N200,000 bail with two responsible sureties.
He said that one of the sureties must be a relative of the accused and the other a well-known musician in the country. The magistrate adjourned the case till February 13.
